Welcome to Split, a 1,700-year-old Roman town and vibrant port city. You will meet your representative at some point during the day for a briefing regarding your walking tour along the Dalmatian coast and islands. Please let us know your arrival time so that we can schedule the meetingThe route leads along the beautiful coast graced with bays and lovely beaches, to Marjan Park-forest, a popular recreational destination for citizens of Split. Along the way, you will discover many charming churches and paths with amazing views of Split, the sea, and nearby islands.
Later in the evening, you can meander the streets and discover the old walls and basements of the Diocletian’s Palace, and the numerous cafés and restaurants serving fresh Mediterranean food!Overnight: Split

You start the day with a boat ride from Split to Brac Island. Once you arrive, you will have the option for either the west side loop which will take you through olive groves, the sleepy village of Sutivan, and then back along the coast to the city of Supetar or you can enjoy the easy coastal trail from Lovrečina Bay. Whatever path you choose today, you will enjoy great views of the mainland as you trek the quiet coastal paths, discovering the ancient Greek and Roman ruins and small fishing villages.One of the trademarks of the island of Brač is the limestone and stone quarries – the White House in Washington D.C. and Diocletian’s Palace in Split are just some of the sites that were built with that stone! All the ancient villages and towns on Brač Island are a testament to this unique stone.
What to do in the late afternoon is up to you. You can either spend your time at one of many beaches surrounding Supetar or discover historical sites and local culture before returning to Split by bus. Cost is not included and is approx. €2 per person.

Today you depart for your visit to your second island in Croatia – Island Hvar. It is rated as one of the "top ten most beautiful islands in the world" according to Traveller Magazine! Cultural and historical sites, lavender fields, crystal clear turquoise waters, charming villages, and towns are just some of the highlights this island has to offer.Go for a sightseeing walk along the narrow streets of the town of Stari Grad, literally translated as The Old Town. Founded in the 4th century B.C., it was one of the first Greek colonies in the Adriatic. You can enjoy numerous charming squares, restaurants, and cafés of Stari Grad before setting off to the south coastline of Hvar Island, to the abandoned villages once famous for lavender and rosemary oil production. Along the way, you will walk through lavender fields and olive groves and discover charming hidden beaches, before arriving in Hvar Town.
In the afternoon treat yourself with well-deserved coffee or an aperitif in one of the numerous bars at the Venetian-style piazza of Hvar Town before your evening out on the town.

This morning, after breakfast, you can enjoy a pleasant walk to Fortica Španjola, ascending the stairs through the old part of the city to the fortress on the hill. It was built at the beginning of the 16th century (during the Venetian rule) and was reconstructed in 1579. Apart from its exquisite architecture, you will also enjoy unforgettable panoramic views of the city, its surroundings, and the Pakleni Islands. There is also a museum located in the fortress with a collection of amphorae and other ancient artifacts from the Middle Ages. The entrance fee is not included and is approx. €4 per person.If you are interested in some real beach time, you can take a taxi to the Pakleni Islands, a small, but beautiful archipelago located right in front of Hvar town. Here you can enjoy swimming in secluded bays and have a nice lunch overlooking the Adriatic!
Later in the afternoon, you will depart by boat to Korčula town, where you will spend the next two days.

Today you will be exploring Korčula Island, considered to be the hometown of Marco Polo, the famous world traveler and the place where his silk road began.
Korčula was once a Greek colony, dating back to the 4th century and known as Korkyra Melaina (Black Korčula) due to its dense forests. Today, the island is famous for the production of the best Croatian white wines - Pošip and Grk. Your peaceful and relaxing hike today will take you through the nature park abundant with wildlife and the unusual but pleasant landscape of the Dalmatian Karst region. The area contains dolomite rock formations and is very densely wooded. You will follow the ancient Napoleon path through olive groves, small vineyards, and beautiful fields of sage, oregano, and other healthy herbs. Your hike ends in Pupnat, where you will have the option to enjoy a unique lunch prepared by Farac family. Most of the ingredients they use in the meals are homegrown and local. The cost of this is not included and is approximately €40 per person.In the afternoon, your return to Korcula by bus or taxi (price not included) and can spend the afternoon in the town of Korcula and explore its cobblestone streets, whitewashed buildings, and other architectural masterpieces built in Gothic and Renaissance style.

The morning begins with the short boat ride to the Peljesac Peninsula and the town of Orebić. The town itself was founded in the 15th century as a part of the Republic of Dubrovnik (Ragusa). As it was famous for seaman and its maritime tradition, there are many charming stone houses (villas) of the once-famous sea captains. Your hike starts from Orebić, leading along the southern slopes of Mt. Ilija, passing through secluded vineyards to an old Franciscan monastery where you can enjoy great views of Korčula and Pelješac archipelago. Once you reach the coast, you will walk along the waterfront through Kučište village on your way to Viganj, a famous windsurfing destination.Later this afternoon, you will make your way to the mainland by transfer. You will spend some time in Ston, where you will have to chance to discover the second longest city walls in Europe, ancient salt works, and the important role this area had in the 14th century for the Republic of Dubrovnik. After free time, you will set off by transfer to the “Pearl of the Adriatic” – the town of Dubrovnik where you will spend the last evening on your tour!

This tour includes 6 days of activity with an average hiking/walking distance of 9-15 km per day. The terrain on this tour changes daily - you will experience single-tracks, wide gravel roads, rocky coastal paths, cobblestone streets (in the historical towns), and paved roads (not more than 4 kilometers in total).

Local Travel
From and to the airport in Split and Dubrovnik, you can utilize public transportation (bus) or taxi. The distance is approximately 25 km.
Climate
The Adriatic coast enjoys a Mediterranean climate consisting of hot, dry, and sunny weather. It is not unusual for summer weather to stretch out into autumn with temperatures in the high teens or even low 20s (Celsius). You will find the weather in Southern Dalmatia perfect for ocean swimming. Please remember to check local conditions before you travel. See below for Monthly Weather Averages.
